History

Domestic Linen Supply and Laundry Company was founded in a converted horse stable in Detroit, Michigan in 1926.  Initially focused on the provision of linen supply items for the home, the company soon shifted its focus to the rental of textiles for businesses throughout the Detroit area.

Through acquisition and internal growth, Domestic expanded its base of operations, stretching coast to coast, allowing Domestic to reach customers in nearly twenty states.  The name of the company was changed to Domestic Uniform Rental to reflect the shift in business focus from healthcare and hospitality items to uniform rental and facility maintenance items.

The Company continues to be family-owned and operated and is in its fourth generation.  As a result, Domestic remains committed to its customers rather than to shareholders.
